I've often been told that there's a risk in posting too much personal information online. If, for instance, my employer were to read this blog about our upcoming move, it might be misunderstood as a planned event, complete with resignation date. That said, I'm willing to take the risk in order to get your feedback.
We want to move to Fairbanks, but aren't sure when. We have explored a variety of options, but all have their pros and cons and I have a tendency to become overwhelmed by too many possibilities.
Will it be this June, this October, next January or next May?
If we leave in June we can take advantage of the glorious Summer, but
O.K. As I write this I realize that we should leave in June, because Fairbanks is where we want to be.
But what about jobs? Well, Don plans to start his own business. And I...plan to use my skills to do something (besides helping him, of course). I've been working as a translator/interpreter for seven years, but this sort of work includes writing, communication, public relations and research skills. Plus, I've got that Master's Degree in Education, although I would probably have to go back to school for a spell before I could use that in Fairbanks.
My dream is to have my student loans paid off before moving anywhere, but that's beginning to play second fiddle to other, more immediate desires...
