Cleaning.

I think I may have finally caught up to the 21st century. I have a cell phone (although it is three years old), e-mail regularly, post on not one but two blogs, and have managed to upload a few photos onto Facebook. Paper and ink have always been my dear friends though, and I do employ them from time to time.

This brings me to the following: A short time ago, I went on a cleaning spree prompted by my newfound (and short-lived) mega interest in Feng Shui. I started by throwing away old medical bills, which, I believe, may have contributed to a major turnaround in my health. If you want more details, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll tell you all about it. Then, I went on to tackle paperwork and organize my files. During this process I stumbled across my letter boxes and, while I didn't throw all of my old letters away, I did cull them for the most memorable of the lot. Of course, part of this involved making sure I had at least one missive to represent each sender (except for the ones from old summer camp friends – I kept more of those) and released the rest. I had expected some sort of minor miracle from sending all of that energy into the universe similar to what happened after I threw away the medical bills.

Since the clearout I’ve learned that an old childhood friend has organized a Facebook group to bring folks together. Now I'm not saying that my rereading dozens of old letters and thinking about long-lost folks prompted her (she lives in Australia) to found this group, but I do believe that the universe is listening. This hereby ends my flaky new age post for the day!

I just recently reconnnected with an old friend from elementary school. We haven't seen each other in almost 20 years. I can't attribute it to cleaning or releasing, but I was looking at some old photos she happened to be in and then lo & behold, she appeared on Facebook. Weird...

Hey-- I think I must be that friend in Australia-- I was just going thru all my bookmarked pages and clearing out all the bad links and it led me to your blog.
I really hope we are able to get together in the near future. I know there's a reason I have known you since I was born and eventually we'll be hanging out.
ps- that feng shui crap really does seem to work, it's like a complement to the law of attraction
